Perfume: Joy, Obsession, Scandal, Sin

Just a quick note to mention that there will be a lecture called "The Scented Imagination" at Bard, 38 West 86th Street, on Thursday, November 16 at 6p-7:15pm and a booksigning reception 7:15-8pm ($20) for an in depth look at the role of perfume in France, and its artistic, poetic, literary and historical representations in 19th - 20th century French culture and everyday life, by the author of the above titled book, Richard Stamelman. I intend to go, it's a bit on the scholarly side, but still I think will be good, especially because of the look at perfume culture in French everyday life...
